I think about this movie a lot. I've read the book as well and while the book and movie are quite different, both are thought provoking. I've read and watched both several times and enjoyed the time. I rate this five stars.

A threesome going nowhere. Good acting, intriguing setup, fizzled out without any notable point
  • Empty ending

Not a thriller. Ending was empty filling. 3 great actors and still left wondering why they made a movie that moved so slow and left me with nothing to cheer for at the end.
  • The dog was smart and bailed early.

This film takes itself ever so seriously, and yet there’s barely a plot, let alone a point. They could’ve tossed us a hilarious blooper reel during the credits maybe, y’know, turn everything on its head, but no, not even a little something for us who soldiered on that far...

I don't understand why this is classified as a thriller. Nothing thrills me. It's slow. It was a waste of my time and money. Boo

This movie was fine on its own, as a drama. I didn't even know it was listed under thriller! How disappointed I would have been, had I thought that. Its fine for a thoughtful look at a post apocalyptic world, but don't expect it to be fast, or thrilling, or even all that surprising. I couldn't get past the idea that only super beautiful people survived (not that's not a spoiler). It was hard to swallow. And yeah… the dog suddenly disappears from being in every scene to not existing anymore, and no one notices. Weird. I suspect he was killed off in a version and then they decided that was too dark, but also didn't have actual footage of the dog in the other scenes to use… hahah whoops
  • Interesting movie.
