Description

This film explores the revival of manual work through the passion of motorcycle enthusiasts who have found their way to a happy life. Shot on Super 16, Greasy Hands Preachers takes viewers all over the world, with stopovers in France, the USA, Scotland, Spain and Indonesia. The cast is a roll call of big name builders: from American-based heavyweights Roland Sands and Shinya Kimura to controversial Europeans El Solitario and Blitz Motorcycles.

I was surprised to see a couple of negative reviews of this film. I thought it was beautifully shot and totally swept me away, pure escapism and while the philosophy of many of the characters might not be for everyone’s taste, I thought it was all meaningfully done and heartfelt. I hope to see it get some more 5-star reviews and some wider distribution. I definitely recommend it.

The opening sequence is a waste of time. It never gets better.

Do you like custom bikes and cafe racers? Do you believe riding a bike can be a metaphysical experience? Then watch this movie.

Music, scenes, landscapes....evrything is awesome. Must seen Documentary of 2015 so far. But I have to confess that I love big space. Watching this documentary is a great way to escape from my office :)
