Description

Oscar®-nominated documentarian Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man, Cave of Forgotten Dreams) chronicles the virtual world from its origins to its outermost reaches, exploring the digital landscape with the same curiosity and imagination he previously trained on earthly destinations. Herzog leads viewers on a journey through a series of provocative conversations that reveal the ways in which the online world has transformed how virtually everything in the real world works - from business to education, space travel to healthcare, and the very heart of how we conduct our personal relationships.

The first 40min were really interesting. After that, it became "white people problems". Couldn't stand the narrator's voice.

Funny and insightful on the most powerful invention of our time. I think it's required viewing for the 21st century!

This doc is all over the place, but the subjects it covers are all fascinating and thought-provoking. Sure, it's scatterbrained and only scratches the surface of these topics in a pop-science kind of way, but the rest is left to your own curiosity and conversations, which I appreciated. Highly recommend!

I like this kind of stuff and this was dreadfully boring to watch... slow... awkward silences... I think even Elon felt strange about it.
  • Herzog is awesome as usual.

There is beauty to be found in any Werner Herzog documentary, and Lo and Behold is no different. This provides a great summary of the beauty and darkness that the internet holds, and is absolutely worth a watch.
  • Insightful & Boring!

The movie was both insightful & boring at the same time...also, it was somewhat disjointed or uneven. Score: 2.5 stars.
  • A MUST-SEE for anyone on social networks.

A masterful inquiry into technological evolution. Herzog’s profound inquisitiveness comes across as natural, sincere, and infectious
