Very disappointing after reading some decent reviews. Really bad acting and the story was dumb.
  • Terrible movie

The previews implied it would be a good movie. This was another Hollywood bait and switch. I turned it off after an hour and couldn’t justify wasting anymore time watching this plotless movie.
  • I love Mel Gibson ❤️😭

  • Horrible

Mel in a bad B movie 🎥. This was so dull so poorly done I can't begin to say all that's wrong with it. Even for .99 cents it's not worth it 🤦🏻‍♀️
  • Below average film

I rented this for a dollar. You get what you pay for. The preview was pretty good, but the film lacked in every possible way. Shallow story, lackluster direction, low budget camera work and overall, forgettable. D+
  • Unexpectedly formulaic

Love Mel and really didn't think he'd succumb to Hollywood drivel that is thankfully dying out rapidly now as that cesspool collapses in on itself. Mel starts out really looking the part in this but then comes the oh so familiar 'shave the beard and tidy up' so he ends up looking like an aging metrosexual schoolteacher with ssome trendy ink and loses all credibility. The daughter is such a loser that most of the time I just wanted the cartel to kill her so we would be spared the 'progressive' propaganda (we get a lecture on the tired "Americans won't pick oranges so we are saved by illegal immigrants who will" Liberal falsehood). This had the makings of a great movie but represents the twighlight of Hollywood with all its faults, including sloth, so it comes out as merely 'okay'. Shame.
  • Mel Gibson At His Best!!

    By PatriotOne1776
Don't pay any mind to all of the lame negative reviews left here. This is an outstanding film! Mel Gibson at his best. "We missed you Mel" This is a film with a lot heart, redemptive value and setting/making things right! Sure it has a lot of F-Bombs, but these are the types of characters portrayed in the film. Hence, if you've got a weak stomach put on a child's film instead. A definite must see... for a Gibson fan!!
  • A good movie in the best sense.

Mel Gibson is a charmiing and humble dad who lost his way at some point, and is filled with regret. His daughter is headed down his same path, and reaches out to him at a crtical moment in her life. This story is realistic, funny, charming, and action-packed. Any viewer who appreciates classic Americana, without any bs, will love this little film. The acting is wonderful, and the chemistry is very believable between the characters. We used to see movies with heart like this more often in the eighties, and we keep watching bad films trying to find that magic again.... so this rare gem was long overdue!

I was interested to see Mel and his work now. This was good acting on his part and a decent script. It was about second appropriate.
