  • 30 year old movie

Don't be fooled this is not a 2016 movie, but 1988 complete with a 1980s sound track. Sophie is great, but this is so old its hard to watch. Predictable plot.
  • Bizzarely weird and yet fantastic French movie !

Other than the hopelessly corny romantic plot, this movie gives an insight into 1980's France and what was considered hip. Great iconic acting by Sophie and Vincent saved this movie from being another example of why the French are "weird". Recommend to watch with a friend.
  • Two Talents at their Beginning

Sophie and Vincent, young, charismatic, set in an uncomedic romance film, saved only by their presence. With her, such charm and endearing qualities, lovely and sensual, and very good, far beyond the script. Vincent, a physical creature still, could be seen in early form. An appetizer for later. The value of the film is watching the two knowing where they have gone since. Both huge talents with fine bodies of work compiled. This was not a triumph because the story simply was not up to them or anyone's expectations. But worth your time if you like either or both.

French Rom Com about a student falling in love with a musican. Nothing new or interesting, but Sophie Marceau is marvelous as the student. The soundtrack is a bit out of date, as is the musican sub plot, but the passion is timeless. Subtitles are good.
