Picking up after Resident Evil: Retribution, Alice (Milla Jovovich) is the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead. Now, she must return to where the nightmare began – The Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.

  • Loved it but disappointed

By Terminator is the best movie.
First of all, this film is so dark for most of it, I had my brightness all the way up the whole time. Also, there were so many cuts, one scene right after the other going fast, it’s like they didn’t edit any scenes out. What prevented this review from going down to a 1 star was the ending. It did slow down a little bit & the concept was creative. I loved the “twist”. I still love my Resident Evil franchise despite all of the issues in this film. 🔥

    My Favorite
  • Good

I enjoyed the movie. Goes well with the other movies in the franchise. The action in the movie was done well. You will like this movie if you’re a fan of the other Resident Evil movies.
  • I gave it a second chance

This is my edited review as my first was overly harsh and critical. The last chapter, at first watch felt empty to me, than I went ahead and watched every film, together again, Finally I got to the last chapter. While many plot holes exist I am to understand that a lot was left out from the original script and novelization of Paul Andersons vision, Have no clue why, Jills death and other questions are answered in the book, yet I feel the intro in the film was lacking with said questions and answers from the book and Andersons original idea. Wish the intro had more to it than it did. All 6 films together, were Resident evil but more than that, It was the story of Alice and the life to which she only knew survival, short friendships and death but also a strong heroic presence. All 6 films except for the first were more of action films, with the first being borderline horror with strong creature effects to which I love. I treated all the films separate from the games because of one factor, Alice. Her character made the RE universe come alive but in a different way to the games, at times the films felt akin to Arnold's last action hero but thats the charm of all these films, fun but sometimes unbelievable but when you get down to it, they're all entertaining especially when you watch them all together. Entertaining Films!

  • Best Series Ever

    By STEVE-O1295
Even though its based off the game its the best movie trilogy in my best opinion. but at the end of this movie i have a feeling that this isnt over yet like most of them. Wonder if one of the remained alive or a bigger threat is coming, Such suspense is awesome!

  • nothing redeeming

    By nekin1
they somehow made the plot and writing even worse than the other movies as well as got rid of any and every semblence of realism and logic. and for a modern movie with a semi decent budget that relies on them, the special effects arent even close to impressive. But Considering the type of series this is, that shouldnt have been a problem. it is a problem though because for what is suppose to be the redeeming quality of the series and others like it, the action scenes are horrible. the camera jumps around way too mcuh like its some low budget SYFY movie trying to hide that fact. the fights last way too long which once again shouldnt be a problem. except every other hit that lands appears to be a finishing move except they continue to fight like they got hit by just another jab. the resident evil name carried this movie completely
  • Not a good movie at all

    By pholly
There are so many things wrong with this movie but I watched all the others in the series so I HAD to watch this one but I really wanted to stop watching after about 10 minutes. And the ending was so stupid, I'm not going to spoil it but there are multiple problems with the ending as well.
