Description

In his first foray as a writer/director, Woody Harrelson shot LOST IN LONDON in a single take, challenging traditional filmmaking conventions to take audiences on a unique live-wire journey through a night in his life. 300 crew members and 500 extras came together to pioneer a new and unique live-cinema experience that saw the film shot in real time and transmitted simultaneously into theaters. The comedy draws a new line between real and surreal with Harrelson’s live misadventure through London for an honest look at fame, family and faith. Harrelson finds himself drifting from a spirited encounter with Owen Wilson at a club to the wisdom of the Texas Dalai Lama, Willie Nelson, in prison. His resolve is tested over the course of the night as he is faced with the true nature of what it means to make a connection with the demanding world around him.

  • Unfunny, mildly racist, self indulgent

Not really sure why he thought he needed to make this, but a guy who cheats on his wife with 3 other chicks and lets her find out from the tabloids I guess would also be dumb enough to make a movie this bad about it.

The single shot, one-take appraoch is clever, but it gets tedious real fast. We turned it off after 20 minutes or so. It may have gotten better but I'll never know...

  • Interesting film experiment

I believe this is Harrelson's first film, and reading up on it, it seems it was very ambitious consdering the manner it was filmed. I suppose it makes sense that it was a bit of an experiment, as it feels loose and slightly improvised. The cameos are all fun, and Woody is good in his dual roles, but I felt the film got a little tedious and not particularly engaging and the ending wrapped up all too nicely. Give it a go as others seemed to like it very much, just didn’t work for me.

I’m someone who likes slow burn foreign drama, so you’d think I’d be cool with this comedy, but while watching, I found myself periodically walking away to do other things, and then, on one of those occasions, I just never went back. The TV played whatever was left of the movie to an empty room, eventually the TV turned itself off. I went back in later to switch off the lights.

I watched this movie not knowing that he shot this movie in one take and live streamed it to over 500 theaters. Thought it was great before but now knowing what I do.... it was amazing!

Woody I gotta tell ya. This was very weird, well like you. Forward on 2 tiny scenes the ones were you talked the most in but other than that it was entertaining and wood watch it again if that sexy man Willi man Nelson was the main actor. All in all loved it Man. Keep On Keeping On.
