Terrible script and confusing scenes. I watched about a quarter of it before I abandoned it altogether.

Jonathan Pryce was very good as Don Quixote but his performance is wasted in this movie. Adam Driver is selfish, egocentric and unlikable. His efforts at being quirky or daft feel manufactured and his "redemption" at the end was empty and unsatisfying. There is no reason to care about any of the characters in this movie, which makes the attempt at artsy theatrics pointless.

I’ve never seen a movie trying so hard to be interesting. And failing. There’s no lack of imagination, and the performances are on point, but the (lack of) direction and plot makes this unbearable. It’s a solid 2 hours of hard work and frustration on the viewers part. Exhausting with zero payoff.

Among the worst movies ever made. I could not tell you who any of the characters are, or what the plot is, or even if there is a plot. I rented this movie for 99 cents. I tried several times to finish the movie before my 48 hours expired, but I eventually failed with 19 minutes in the movie remaining. It was painful.

And that means to formulaic crap of any kind. The cast is as spectacular as the landscape. Pure lyricism. If you're used to a straight forward narrative, this isn't for you. And if you loved it, watch the documentary "Lost in la Mancha".

This movie is so dumb and boring. It's like a pain just to watch it.

Convoluted storytelling in a movie that is far too long.
