Description

Rémy and Mélanie are two thirty-year-olds who live in the same Parisian neighborhood. She multiplies dates on social networks that lead nowhere while he struggles to meet anyone. Both are victims of this loneliness of big cities, in a hyper connected world where one would think meeting someone would be easier. Two individuals, two different paths. Without knowing it, they then take two roads that will lead them in the same direction... that of a love story?

Such a sweet movie. Everything an indie flick should be. The actors are so authentic in their roles it just draws you in scene after scene.

Unlike your typical romantic comedy, this film tells the story of two individuals that forget themselves in the anonymity of living in a big city where social interactions only exist behind a screen. It depicts this sensation of living through the motions and that young generations are strongly affected by this loss of self. To find the right person, both need to find their core self.

I was ready to turn it off in the first 20 minutes. Sad. Pointless. Depressing. Social Media Misfits. Stuck with it and found this little film, by the end, was waaay different than first impression. Glad I did. There is a point to the isolation at the beginning of this movie. That (important) point is the basis for the tale that is told here. Social Media is a sickness, and this little film takes us back to basics of human vulnerability and lasting relationship. What we need, to be human, is personal and messy and heart to heart. Very nice little tale!
