Description

Fly Like A Girl is more than just a film. It’s a movement of young girls and women relentlessly pursuing their passion for aviation. A field currently dominated by men. Hearing first-hand stories from girls and women who dared to aim higher. From a lego-loving young girl who includes female pilots in her toy airplanes, to a courageous woman who helped lead shuttle missions to space, Fly Like A Girl shows us that women are in charge of their own destiny.

I found “Fly Like A Girl” to be truly enjoyable. I learned so much about the history of women in aviation. Each woman had an interesting story about obstacles they had to overcome on their journey to becoming a pilot. Very professionally produced. It is an inspiration to young girls and women everywhere. Highly recommend this documentary.

“Fly Like A Girl” is an incredible documentary film highlighting the history and future of women in aviation and space. It brilliantly intertwines three themes: the history of women in the industry; interviews with amazing women living their dreams; and the story of a young girl who’s been enamored with aviation since she was two years old. Watch this amazing film and meet inspiring women like NASA astronaut Nicole Stott, aerobatic pilot Patty Wagstaff, Senator and military veteran Tammy Duckworth, airline pilot Jessica Ortega, and so many more. Yes, I am a little biased as I was the consultant on this film, but trust me… You will love it!!

I enjoyed my time with this documentary and learning about these different women and their aviation journey. As a Central Florida resident, it was great to see the different areas/cities that are vital to this industry. The Obama administration acknowledging the impact of the Wasps was something I never knew about. I hope Indie Atlantic Films continues making quality films.

Rarely are you touched by a film that nudges your heart in such a profound way. From the opening scene of a little girl’s dream to be an aviator - to the accomplished women who are making aviation history...the director had me with a pet chicken named Amelia!

From personal experience, I know that girls have been in the minority with regard to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). This film is an inspiration for aspiring aviators and an encouragement to females in STEM fields.
