  • Interviews lost me

Jake Williams is someone I’m a huge fan of due to his bright sun films YT channel so I was very excited about this movie. I feel however now like I was cheated out of $5 because it felt like way too many interviews (which I wound up losing track of what all they were saying) and It also was too much like his regular videos on the YT channel. The 15-20 min worth of 4K shots of the park-like the drone shots-and maybe the music scoring to a lesser extent is what differentiates this production from his regular videos. Keep trying Dan & Jake!

I would change the ending of the documentary. It was confusing to me about the point system and it didn’t need that (the committee meeting part), but overall it was a great movie! The shots were great! For his first film, it is a good little film! If you don't know the story of Six Flags New Orleans then check it out!

I enjoyed this documentary. It told the story of the park from beginning to now. I had different emotions while watching, as I remembered Katrina and other events involved.

This is a must see for documentary lovers. This goes in-depth at how even a successful company worth millions of dollars can be turned to a liability instead of a thriving theme park. The weather will always be in control, we can build anything we want, but keep in mind, that one event can take down a giant.
  • Theme Park History 101

This film is an instant Theme Park History Documentary. A film category that rarely gets covered! Enjoy this Rare, Breathgiving, Inspiring peek into an actual Abandoned Theme Park in New Orleans East. The hope this park inspired to only be flooded with a distasteful storm that ripped the roots of the community out along with an probability of the ruined Theme Park Eyesore. I was worried seeing the people affected and the lack of Government foresight or the lack of future site planning leads me to believe that this issue is far from being resolved. Congratulations and I wish all of Bright Sun Film success in an future films. This film is an amazing watch!

I constanly avoid Amazon Prime documentaries because for whatever reason they can't figure it out. They tease me with a trailer and end up wasting my time when they end up looking and feeling like a Senior project of a high schooler. Thankfully, Apple shields us from that...that was until I paid $4.99 for this rental and turned it off 10 min before it ended just so that they'd see I never finished it. It's not exciting, nobody interesting is interviewed, nobody was really impacted by this (outside their home maybe being wiped out but that's not the subject of the doc), and the narrator sounds like Kip from Napoleon Dynamite. Just not good. At the very least, please wait until it's free so that time is all you're wasting.

I rented this movie today. Watched it twice. I loved the drone footage. I really do hope that something gets done with the site.

As a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and survivor of Hurricane Katrina in my opinion this was a great idea however this documentary seemed more like a retelling story of Hurricane Katrina Here’s the thing some B-Roll shots did not fit into the story itself some stories where way over explained and way to drawn out The camera footage was awesome the drone shots where amazing unfortunately you missed the part where six flags bailed out of a massive 75 year lease and really failed to work with the city there really was not much research done in my eyes again it was a great idea however this documentary was not as great as I was hoping for
  • Great work
