Description

Join fan favorites Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt for the adventure of a lifetime on Disney’s “Jungle Cruise,” a rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities—possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.

Obviously packed with mind numbing wokeness, but at least done in a mostly classy way. Dwayne was good.

Was a great movie until they put gay innuendoes.

You know all those The Rock movies where the rock is the rock and everyone one around him says “wow your big!” This is that movie.. again. I swear he’s got the ‘first time a person sees the rock they must reference his size in some way’ written into his contact. All of his movies are like that.

Hollywood needs new ideas… and there are plenty of them but the gatekeepers seem to think they are the experts at producing a sure thing. Emily Blunt and Jesse Plemons are good. Dwayne Johnson, despite his charm in other movies, is miscast. The entire premise is a mashup of everything we have seen a hundred times. Do better. There are fantasy novels and stories out there waiting for their cinematic turn. The powers that be just think we’re too stupid to want to see them.

Tens of millions of dollars lavished on a screenplay written by a fourth-grader. Second to the worst movie I've seen all year. Should have been a 99 cent rental. Save your money.

Talk about poor casting. These two actors, Emily and Dwayne just don’t fit. The movie wasn’t bad it just wasn’t as good as it could have been, IMHO.
