Description

In the not too distant future, two drifters (Zac Efron, Anthony Hayes) traveling through the desert stumble across the biggest gold nugget ever found and the dream of immense wealth and greed takes hold. They hatch a plan to excavate their bounty with one man leaving to secure the necessary tools. The other man remains and must endure harsh desert elements, ravenous wild dogs, and mysterious intruders, while battling the sinking suspicion that he has been abandoned to his own fate.

    Could have been a below average 22 minute Twilight Zone... but that apocalyptic theme, always lures me in. Note to myself - don't ignore bad reviews and rent apocalypse movies for $6.99.

    Do. Not. Waste. Your. Time. Or money. Very disappointed with this movie. Not at all what I expected. The trailer made it seem WAY more action packed and exciting than it actually was. Zac Efron literally just wastes away in the desert, waiting for a guy with an excavator to come dig up a chunk of gold. He gets stabbed by a flailing tree branch then gets eaten by ravenous desert dogs. The end.

    This is not a thriller. This is a stupid, miserable waste of time and money. If you like watching a man waste away starving and drinking what little water he has while chasing away wild dogs while waiting for another person to bring a backhoe to dig up a chunk of gold, well, then you may like it.
