Description

Idris Elba stars in this pulse-pounding thriller as Dr. Nate, a recently widowed husband who returns to South Africa on a long-planned trip to a game reserve. What begins as a journey of healing turns into a fearsome fight for survival as Dr. Nate and his daughters find themselves hunted by a massive, rogue lion intent on proving that the savannah has but one apex predator.

  • Simple, but predictable

This movie is so predictable, I knew what was going to happen before it happened. Not really worth buying, better to rent. Apart from all that, it was a decent story line, some parts were terrifying, but the scenery in South Africa was just spectacular.

The kids were super annoying and dumb. Idris Alba didn’t know how to do anything and he was a doctor. Oh, and when he gets mauled by the lion he only has a few light scratches!!! I mean come on! He was mauled like the bear did in Revenant! It’s not like he had Wolverine’s healing powers. Stupid movie, every bit about it.

Unwatchable, except for the last chapter it was a mess of improbability.
  • Disappointing at every level

A shallow plot, predictable story with little to no thrill, 2-dimensional acting. Surprising to see an actor of Idris Elba’s caliber turning up in a B-movie.

Mehhhhhh ..... a script would have been nice. Idris Elba was totally out of his element.

I'm a big Idris Elba fan so I chanced it in spite of the negative reviews. No regrets. Enjoyed it start to finish. Elba does his usual great work. The supporting cast was most adequate. Excellent CGI (the lion). Plot is straight up and uncomplicated with a minimum of subplots. I found that refreshing. Good flick.

I really like Idris Elba as an actor but honestly this movie’s story seemed way too forced to me. I finally just stopped watching it as I couldn’t pretend to enjoy myself any longer. I needed to be honest with myself and I feel relieved now and can move on to the next movie that will hopefully not disappoint me. Save your time and money, for another movie that’s worth your time. You won’t get either of them back :(
  • Disappointing, formulaic and somewhat boring...

I had high hopes for this film as I am a big fan of Idris Elba - but as it turned out I was just counting the minutes until it ended. If you saw Cujo don't waste your money renting or buying this movie. Could have been so much better...
