When I first seen the preview to this I thought it was gonna be cheesy, but boy was I ever wrong. This is an outstanding movie and anyone who has ever owned a blackberry and are huge fans of the blackberry still than this movie is for you. The acting was phenomenal and also educational as well.
Entertaining Not I formative

Did any reviewers see the label at the beginning of the movie that said the movie was fictionalized? Its based on fact but fiction. Was the founding and closing of BlackBerry that boring that the movie had to be fictionalized?
Entertaining, yes. A movie I’d watch once. I’d give it more stars if it weren’t fictional.
What?

I always wondered what happened to the Blackberry phones? I used to own one. Now I know. This movie is great. The plot, the comedy, the seriousness; everything falls into place nicely making this movie very enjoyable. Thumbs up 👍🏼

It was a great movie, watched it twice in my 48 hour rental! Lots of comedic relief, Lots of feelings of nostalgia, brought me back to the 2000’s.
Good movie, not a comedy

Amazing acting. Really blown away by the talent of the lead actors Glen Howerton and Jay Baruchel. Matt a Johnson however was a really poor choice as a protagonist. He cannot act and his demeanor came across as annoying and his lines were manically delivered with poor timing. I am sure it’s because he knows how far beneath his talent is in comparison to the other two leads. Glen is the man! Loved his show A.P. Bio.

The comedy classification drew me in but I think Blackberry may have been misclassified. It has the initial trappings of a nerdy, clichéd character-driven comedy but the humor was pretty anemic. Or perhaps it was simply too dry for my taste? I’m similarly confused by statements of great acting being on display. For example, when a major character throws a major tantrum, well, I was flat out embarrassed for the actor’s effort (and his director’s). A growing desire to put as much distance as possible between the film and myself proved to be insurmountable. However, considering the universal acclaim, this must be another it’s-not-you-it’s-me kinda thing.
