As Prequels go this had some mistakes, for one Shatan's (The Black) mother was chestnut in the original films (The second movie "The Black Stallion Returns") as beautiful as she is in this one they should have kept the original color. Also, when the girl takes off her hat to show she is a girl it was a copy cat of the original Black Stallion movie when Alec takes off his helmet at the end of the race. It would have been more exciting to see another way, maybe for people to not know she was the rider. We do know in the second film that she was originally the Black's rider. I think the plot should have been thought out a bit more since it is a prequel of two of the most classic films. Nothing can duplicate THE BLACK STALLION.

I really didn't expect hte movie to be this different from the book, and especially not from Disney. iTunes needs to get rid of crappy movies like these and put in good Disney films like Aladdin, or Beauty and the Beast, or The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Deem this review helpful if you agree.

OK this movie is just amazing! It's really touching and well done. It was neat seeing it in theaters, but it was good at home, too. I would reccommend this movie for horselovers especially, but I think a lot of people would like it. It's really good!:-)

This was a wonderful piece of film with very believable characters. The equestrian in me was very happy with how they did the horses
