Little Odessa

Undoubtedly one of Roth's best films, Little Odessa perfectly captures the pain of a suffering soul. The characters are multi-dimensional, the plot takes many unexpected twists and turns, and the acting is phenomenal!

The film seems a tad too over itself. Sure, the cinematography and sharp images work, but the film is ultimately forgettable, and while it's an applauded effort, it's not my cup of tea. Buy/rent.

This movie is wonderful, but definitely not light entertainment. Tim Roth and Edward Furlong play two brothers headed for an ironic destiny. The acting is fantastic. The plot paced but addictive. I loved it for its artful qualities and sombre theme; however, it definitely is not a family film. I certainly recommend it for people who love cinema and want to keep thinking about a movie long after the credits roll.
