Lonesome dove, Dead Man's Walk, Streets of Loredo, and Return to Lonesome Dove are some of my favorite movies of all time, but this thing did not even come close to living up to expectations. I though the actor that did Gus did a pretty good job, but the rest of the movie was a mess. This was supposed to show us how Gus and Woodrow came to be famous Texas rangers, instead it made them look like a bunch of goofs.

If you like the west, Texas, Indians, and Cowboys ..... you will love this movie. It is great to "step into" the lives of Texas Rangers and experience the early development of Texas. This is a great family show although be cautioned on the violence, etc if young children are around. I am glad I bought this movie and I will be watching it over and over.

Nothing can compare to the performances of Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones, but these guys did an AMAZING job portraying a younger version of Gus and Call. Great movie, great story ... you won't regret buying this one.
