Watched this tonight. Wasn’t sure at first because it was crazy, but really enjoyed it. A home improvement show featured the house and that’s why I watched it. So glad I did

  • A Southern Masterpiece

This is perhaps my favorite film of all time. Whether by sheer luck or by careful study, this film actually captures the South for me: the sense of place and the story telling are all there. My Southern kin told similar stories--larger-than-life adventures involving unlikely characters, unbelievable natural forces, and dangerous animals. I, too, wondered about what was fact and what was fiction as a child. However, as in the movie, I came to realize that the fiction WAS the fact. This film has so many dimensions, and viewers will profit from going back to view the whole piece of art again and again. I unreservedly recommend this movie to anyone.
  • Tim Burton's best film

This is one of only a few films to ever make me cry. It was nice to see Tim Burton step away from dark and creepy to make this wonderful piece of beauty. It was one of those movies that I like where we just see this person throughout their life go on crazy journeys, like "Forrest Gump" and "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (also some of my favorites). However, each of them had their own style, and this one is the most magical. Ewan McGregor and Albert Finney both did amazing acting in the film, and Danny DeVito is... well, himself. But as a werewolf. That's just great. The cinematography and visuals were just amazing and so beautiful, with a great message. So, if ou ever want to check out one of the most underrated films of the 2000s, go check this one out.

This is honestly one of the best movies I've ever seen. It has the charm of forest gump and the creativity of Tim burton. Very good movie.

Anyone who has father issues will understand this film in a heartbeat. Made me sob so hard at the end.

I come from a large family of storytellers, and this movie is extremely touching to me. I have watched it over and over and each time I notice some new tidbit of delight that I missed during the previous viewings. The fantasy of it all is enough to delight someone of any age. Embracing your imaginative side is what life is all about. I hope to grow up to be a Big Fish someday. I could watch this movie over and over as it has managed to slip into one of my all time favorite movies.

This is the BEST movie ever. That's all I gotta say. Plus, I'm really not a movie person. Just watch it and love it.
