    My absolute favorite sports film. Paul Newman is terrific as Reggie Dunlop, the fading star of a has been minor league hockey team. The supporting cast lend a hand bringing this hilarious story to life. I have watched it several times and never grow tired of it.

    Paul Newman plays a player/coach for a minor league hockey team that is about to fold and he does everything and anything to keep the team, and his way of life, intact. Including boosting popularity by turing the game into a spectacle. Filled with a lot of strange characters with colorful dialog and the action scenes on the ice play out well.

    This movie is awesome, the only reason I watched it was because it was filmed downtown at the War Memorial, (home of the Syracuse Crunch {AHL}) but now I love love love it

    This slap-stick comedy is the funniest thing I have ever seen! When you get you hands on this film, you're in for a real treat. Every minute you will laugh at what every character has to say. And who could forget the all- time great Hanson brothers? This movie is worth every penny!

    Slap Shot is a fantastic take on the game of hockey. Full of laughter and fun and obviously hockey players beating the crap out of each other in the funniest way possible. If you love hockey, violence and vulgar humor its your movie. One of the best guy movies ever made. Rent before you buy but I definently recommend this movie
