Miami Vice

The broken English of Gong Li was annoying and the female super star agent was silly. Mann usually does a great job, this was Okay. The forced relationship between Farrel and Li was unrealistic - never happens. The 80s Miami Vice had it all.

A dark action/crime that kept me engaged from beginning to end!

Bought the film some time ago, but did not watch it until recently. This is an action film with great direction. The purpose becomes clear, but with numerous twists. Character development was good; Colin and Jamie were outstanding. Ultimately, the film is worth seeing!

This remake was so hyped up and miss the mark on so many levels...I swear the scene's from the female co star and Colin drags on and on and on and on... And seriously...not that hot! This movie is lacking... And the plot is minimal at best...save you're money...if you mist see it redbox, or netflix it...not worth $15 bucks ...itunes needs a buck bin... And place this one inside it!

Not one of Mann’s best, but still a pretty good flick. Very stylized, great soundtrack, great scenery, and great mood… makes up for the “ripped-off” storyline (taken from “Smugglers Blues” in the TV show) and the sometimes stilted acting from Farrell and Fox.

Fast cars. Fast boats. And fast planes. All are nice to watch. But the plot doesn't make sense, and the characters are all cliches. Jamie Foxx disappoints.

Overall, a great story with top-shelf action sequences, and worthy of the Michael Mann canon. The Unrated version has a couple added scenes that spoil some of the suspense and surprises in the film. The original version (not the Unrated) is far better. Some of the acting is cringe-worthy in both versions, but c'est la vie. You should at least rent it in HD and turn the volume way, way up for full effect.

The transfer of this movie is horrible. It can be grainy at times and at others smeary. The night shots are almost unwatchable.

Expensive cars, fast boats, hot women, and no holds barred action scenes. What more could you ask for!

Really liked this movie. Yes it was tough not to see classic Crockett and Tubbs. But it's a movie. The cast did seem forced. However Mann's directing and script was what I would expect. I think Sonny with a mullet and a porn stache didn't help selling his character. Jamie foxx was good though. I wish to see a sequel to this film, the end was like the ending leaving us the viewer wanting more! This is a good movie not Great! Huge Vice fan though, and the location of Miami was great for this film year 2000
