A true classic and the stars in this film are timeless. Funny and sincere. Well written and directed. Reminds of the early days of HBO. jdsb-3

This is not a movie, it's a film! It will stand the test of time and be forever one of the best films ever made! Robin and John absolutely shined in this one along with the rest of an incredible cast. I read the book, loved it, and was prepared to not like the movie adaptation but was greatly surprised! I rarely "buy" a film but I will certainly own The World According To Garp!! Bravo!!

When I was a kid my mom watched this movie with me and my brother, and I laughed so hard and it was a touching movie with a great story. I loved it when his mother bought him a hooker just for some research, hysterical. Or his battle with Bonkers the dog, so funny. His comedy reached people of all ages and it's sad to have lost such a wonderful entertainer. RIP Robin. You were one of the best.
  • Robin didn’t make it to 64...

…which is "terribly sad”. But this is such a wonderful film, it’s the first feature I watched with Robin Williams starring. It’s hilarious, heartfelt, whimsical, sweet, tragic. Don’t take my word for it; watch it yourself, and you’ll see.
