I got this movie because I like Lee Marvin and Angie Dickinson, it had good reviews, and it was for $4.99. The beginning was slow, the middle was just barely interesting, and the ending was weak. I can see why someone remade it as Payback with Mel Gibson (a much more entertaining film). If you are considering buying this movie, save your $4.99 and put it toward something else.

Marvin's performance is electrified, a pure adrenaline rush, a film that will kick you straight in the nuts, and smile back at you as to enjoy the sight of your pain. Marvin is so maleficent, so utterly captivating and engrossing that he will almost make feel like running through a brick wall.

The best movie of its genre! You have to watch it several times to get it! And there is the great Lee Marvin. A real trend setter! An iconic movie! Must see!

Lee Marvin is fantastic as "Porter." I felt he did a better job than Mel Gibson and the scenes do most of the speaking unlike the comentary by Mel's "Porter." One of the most artistic fight scenes I have seen between Lee Marvin and some thugs in the back of the jazz club from the 1960s. Watch the remake Payback first then have a gander at the original with Lee Marvin. -Doc

Great imagery of LA in the mid to late 60's. None of these actors was ever in better form. The surprise is Kennan Wynn, how could an actor be so wasted on silly comedy's! It is a pity that he didnt do more drama. The movie stays with you. I think one of the best movies of the 60's.

An amoral hitman fights a nebulous web of crime, business and politics. There are few films that convey the moral chaos of the 60's better, and with such humor. The cinematography and color alone make it worth a rent.

Well written, with original characters and one of the finest endings I've seen in a film. Lee Marvin is fantastic as Walker - 'cold' and 'calculating' do not even begin to describe the extent of Walker's focus and ruthlessness. 'Point Blank' will appeal to fans of classic film noir as well as fans of action films. Especially recommended for those who have enjoyed The Killing, Bullitt and Straw Dogs.

Not quite 5 stars, but a good one, anyway. I saw this back in 1967 and still remember it like it was yesterday. Lee Marvin is spooky in this one. Great supporting cast and a LOT of drama. Not at all as graphic and over-the-top violent like many of today's thrillers, Point Blank is more cerebral. A great script helps it to keep the pages turning--or the scenes passing before you--and there are several plot twists that you will not expect. Can't tell you the ending :^p but you will like it.
