  • Loved the theatrical cut. This one needs editing.

The original theatrical cut had enough critics, but I liked it. I thought the pacing was good, the action was exciting, and the story moved at a good pace. Emotionally, it worked for me. This extended cut, however, is kind of a mess. There’s one interesting action sequence that was restored, and it’s good. But that addition, plus all of the others, drag the entire film down and undermine the central story. I’d pass and view the original instead.

If there’s one place in the world I wish to exist it’s this island, even as a little kid when I first saw this movie I knew that Skull Island was a miracle of nature. Honestly though, I believe such a place exist’s, maybe not as diverse as Skull Island but something close to it. I have so many good memories of this movie with my Dad. Let’s hope Godzilla vs Kong is good

I already own the Regular long version of this, so why on Earth would I need to pay more just to watch a few minutes longer? What a scam. What if I had forgotten I owned it & had purchased this by accident? Anyway, it is a pretty good movie, better than the previous 2 versions, including the one from the 1930s.

Ok, so great special effects, great dinosaurs, but Kong is, well, just a large gorilla! Except for the scenes with the dinosaurs, I felt I might as well have been watching a National Geographic special on gorillas. Kong learning sign language? The scene with Ann on the ice in NY? I felt like I was watching a trained circus animal. Doesn't even come close to the "Kingship" of the original.
