Description

After being shipwrecked on an island as a little girl, Rosella (Barbie) grows up learning to talk and sing with a family of loving animals: the red panda Sagi, the peacock Azul and the baby elephant Tika. But when Prince Antonio discovers their tropical paradise, curiosity about her past leads Rosella to journey with the prince to his castle. As she and her animal friends explore civilization, they uncover an evil plot to take over the kingdom!     I used to love this barbie movie and even though I’m an adult, I’m still in barbie heaven!!!!!!! This is my favorite movie from barbie entertainment. It’s so beautiful and during “Right Here In My Arms- Reunion” I was crying with tears of happiness. Mmmmm. When I have a daughter, I’m definitely going to watch a lot of movies from barbie entertainment, especially this one. It’ll be like a mother- daughter movie night. Aww!!!!     I watched it and it moved from hate to meh to like! Not half as bad as Nutcracker! My fav part is the "'I think you should lose the silly nest thing!' 'NO WAY!'" part. Also that "Here on my island the sea says hello" song was pretty good. The animals were my fav characters! I recommend The Barbie Diarys,Mariposa and The Crystal Fairys,the 1st Mariposa Barbie,and, of course,my fav,Spy Squad.

    Just like Disney movies, girls (at least for me) can't out grow barbie movies. It has great lessons ex. Difference may be good like when Rosella is an island girl and speaks to animals and is anything but "normal" to the king and queen. At the end of it, her uniqueness became to be a hero to the queens most prized pet. It's a great movie and a definite need to watch for anyone.

    Honestly this is a good movie, I like the general storyline and the songs. The only thing that keeps me from buying it is like with The 12 Dancing Princesses where there is the annoying focus on the daughter Lacey. I just can't stand Tika in this movie. If you can stand a self centered annoying elephant then this is a great buy with wonderful songs (which they need to put on iTunes!) I loved the ball song and the duet between Ro and the Prince

    A very original fairy tale, yet one containing familiar elements is what is brought to life in this fantastic film. The story is hooking, and all of the characters are loveable. This is a must for fairy tale fans, especially lovers of the Disney Princesses. The central theme is that love, whether romantic or just between friends, can save the day, which I strongly believe in. The positive messages of being true to who you are are wonderful.
