Description

America's favorite family of the future stars in their first animated feature film! When George Jetson gets a promotion, he moves to outer space with the entire family: Jane, Judy, Elroy, Rosie the Robot and Astro the family dog. But soon the family discovers that George's company is destroying the homes of the Grungies, the friendly underground creatures who live on the same asteroid. With his family's help, George is able to work out a peaceful arrangement that benefits both the ecology and the factory's modern technology. See a 2,000-level shopping mall, anti-gravity basketball and other wonders of the space age in this delightful movie, featuring songs by Tiffany.

The inclusion of 80s mall pop star Tiffany and the subpar songs dates this movie quite a bit. The whole endeavor lacks much of the charm of the original series and is further hampered by some Saturday morning cutesy additions that small screen Jetsons weren’t burdened with relying on. As a whole it doesn’t successfully make the case that it needed a big screen adaption despite the fact that the series should have been an ideal transition. Nostalgia will probably go a long way for viewers that originally saw this at a young age, but it’s doubtful to win fans of the earlier series or young kids that have never seen it before.

I love this movie, but no caption or subtitle. I grew up watching this without caption. This has no caption. Please add caption. I want to see this with caption...
  • Animation Worthy of the Voice Talents in it!

I see many of the reviews, (especially the "suppossed" experts) panning this movie. I think they would change their minds, if they knew, that this movie was the final voice performances of both George O'Hanlon, (George Jetson), & Mel Blanc, (Mr Spacely). That alone makes it notable. But this movie , with the exception of Tiffany, (who voiced Judy Jetson), had all the original voices in it, as well as the charm of the original series. The characters were true to the TV series, & the music was very well crafted into the movie as well. On only has to take a look at the TV series, to see that this movie WAS very close to the storyline of the series, & that simplicity was what made it so enjoyable. To hell with the critics!

To hell with what rotten tomatoes says, I saw this when I was a boy and I loved it and I love it still today. What I would really love though is the soundtrack for it, the music was awsome. Does anybody know where to find the soundtrack?

This movie was a staple around my house when I was a kid. I can remember memorizing the songs and watching this move over and over. So glad I found it! A must see for any 80's born child who was raised in the 90's!
