The Shadow

i saw this movie 26 years ago & i still like it alac baldwin best movie ever.

The set designs, miniatures and mat paintings are spectacular. The soundtrack is top notch. Alec Bldwin does a great job. The special effects, although limited, are very good for 1994. What keeps the movie from being great is the script. The plot is average. The pacing of the film is rather slow at times. Once again, the sets are absolutely fantastic!

The action scenes in the Shadow persona are very cool but they should have used a different voice actor for a deeper, more ominous effect. The story is good, period comic book fare, but is corny for modern audiences. It is not a brilliant movie and it is no terrible. I'd love to see a reboot in a modern setting.

I really love this movie! I wish they could remake this and make more movies of the Shadow.

Excellently made mode. It's worth watching over and over again. However, the price of buying the HD version of the movie from iTunes is too high.

Great movie, beats Batman hands down for story. One of the greats for super hero movies. One of the first.

For me, the true test of this movie came when I took my mother to see it in the theatre in 1994. She was always a devoted fan of early radio dramas. When we would listen together to WAMU's (American University) Sunday night "Big Broacast" -- still on the air in Washington today -- she would remember them all, including The Shadow. I expected her to find fault with this rendering to film, but to our mutual pleasant surprise, she enjoyed it very much… as did I. So these four stars are sent to you in her memory, in the hope that you will enjoy this movie with your family as much as or more than we did.

The Shadow is a classic crime fighter/superhero movie. Yes the movie is dated and the Shadow is one of the underdogs of the crime fighter world just because he is not well known. But look at when the movie was made, 1994. This movie will keep your attention the whole way through, even for those who were talkin smack about it. If this movie would have been remade, or they made it anytime recently it would be great but there is no better person to play the Shadow than Alec Baldwin. This great classic movie and i would recomend it to everyone. Also its not like most action movies these days that have alot of sex or swearing in it, so the whole family can enjoy it.

I remember this when I was younger. Gosh, such a cool movie for its time. The special effects were really among the best around this time. I wish like hell that someone would do a reboot/remake of this movie. It would be EPIC with today's technology!!!!
