The fleas of a thousand camels infested on their fun parts for the rest of your life. This is just one of many movies you have that are to damned high priced. I’ve been ignorant and paid your price several times but I’m getting annoyed about this. I’ve seen prices raise in an hour. Not only that, seems like a lot of extras are worthless. Newer movies and not in 4K. I’ve seen the trailers and older movies look better than new. Technology wise your behind. Get with it. I wasn’t going to rate the movie less stars for your incompetence.

I really want to know who had the audacity to price this movie at $17.99? How someone could sit there and tell themselves that this movie, starring Kurt Russel, from 1992, is to be priced around the same as the newest Marvel movie to hit the stores completely blows my mind. It’s unfathomable that someone decided to price this film so high. Will not be buying from iTunes. While a great film and a childhood classic, this film can easily be found on Amazon for 5 lousy bucks. I will be taking my money there to purchase this fantastic film.

I grew up dreaming of life a sea because of this film! A life full of adventure and possibilities! 30 years later, I’ve sailed myself to islands, so getting closer to the dream.

This movie has become a family favorite. We watch it when on vacation together! It’s goofy, relatively clean, and even has a few life lessons tossed in. Love it!
  • A Real “Killer” B Movie (one of 237!)

This review is an excerpt from my book “Killer B’s: The 237 Best Movies On Video You’ve (Probably) Never Seen,” which is available as an ebook on iBooks. If you enjoy this review, there are 236 more like it in the book (plus a whole lot more). Check it out! CAPTAIN RON: The hell with meanings and “messages.” Call it what you want—slapstick road movie set on the high seas; feel-good fish-out-of-water flick; dopey no-brainer—movies like “Captain Ron” were never meant for critics, they were meant for fun. The minimal message in this family flick can be summed up by bumper stickers (“Lighten up”) or beer slogans (“Life’s too short not to grab all the gusto you can”). What it’s really about is having fun, and Ron gives this repressed family a crash course in partying heartily. It’s not a film to be analyzed; it’s a flick to be shared. Let’s not overrate “Captain Ron.” It’s no cure for cancer; it’s a formula flick. But here the formula is applied to an unusual setting with original gags; it ends on a high note; and really, it doesn’t need any justification to be just funny.

One of the best sailing movies out there. I wish I had this on bluray. Unfortunately the only hd version you will find is on iTunes.
