Mame

One of the all time worst casting choices ever made was to put an aging Lucille Ball in the title role of Mame over Angela Lansbury, thus robbing the world of what would have been a memorable motion picture experience. When you think of what we could have had with Lansbury in the lead, and instead watch Ball attempt to croak and warble out each magnificent song hopelessly off key, it is just too tragic to fathom.

Shows how arrogant and selfish Ball was to cast herself in this picture when she was too old, and couldn't sing and she really ruined what could have been a great film version of the musical. Selfish and foolish of her.

Good fun camp.

I love Lucy ! She and Beatrice Arthur make this movie sing! Watched this movie a thousand times!

This is one of the best movies ever made!!! I love that ITunes is bring in a lot of older movies. I grew up watching these movies and it's great to see that they haven't been forgotten!! Watch it and you will love it!!

Movie ever u will enjoy it though I believe that mame autie mame could be better. But athor than that great show

IT'S ABOUT TIME. A CLASSIC, THE ONLY THING BETTER THAN THIS IS THE FULL MUSICAL WITH LANSBURY AND ARTHUR. BUT LUCY---WOW! even with her singing abilities, WOW!

I love Lucille Ball so of course I watched Mame I rented and bought it from Itunes the very next day I LOVE this movie and Lucille Ball makes it even BETTER!
