Description

David Freeman (Joey Cramer) is an ordinary boy destined for a most extraordinary adventure – aboard a spectacular, futuristic spacecraft.     Low budget trash. Terrible in every way. Careless, slapped-together, badly directed, badly filmed, badly edited, and a godawful script. This is a total waste of money. For the actors it was nothing more than a paycheck, and not much of one at that. And by the way, this is not a "Disney" picture. Some idiot at Disney bought it cheap during Disney's absolute lowest period and they distributed it. It was a total flop.

    This movie was made by Disney at a time when they were really pushing UFO type documentarys and UFO type films. There is a lot in the movie that has been taken from real ufo sightings and abductions. The movie focuses on these small details which makes it stand out in the UFO movie class. CGI for its time is very well done and the focus is on family not aliens. Great movie really glad I bought it. And to all the morons who leave "please let us buy" reviews on movies, its not Apples choice to rent or sell a movie owned by Hollywood, grow a brain and realize Apple has NOTHING to do with you not being able to buy a movie.

    I watched this because I had not seen it as a teen and I was intrigued by the positive reviews and the starship design. I'd say it must resonate well for those who grew up with it but it is definitely due for a remake by the likes of JJ Abrams. The character of the A.I. using Pee Wee Hermans voice was abhorrent and I felt that the main character was a wuss, constantly whining and complaining, whereas if I had been granted the controls of a starship I would have never let it go.

    We all want to buy the movie and you are losing money because you don't offer it. I am with the previous vote that I will not spend the money to rent. I will spend the money to buy this movie, whether it be through ITunes or elsewhere. Thank you,
