Top 5 documentary of all time for me…..#1 music documentary of all time for me. It’s hard to imagine a GREATER film about such a diverse country as Mexico (68 cultures+) it’s music, it’s people. The music flows from the beginning to the end like a non-stop freight train fueled by very personal stories and inspirational people!! For musicians, teacher and students, it’s a MUST SEE as the variety of the music and musical instruments itself is staggering. The depths of ideas and the SOULS of these various truth sayers are inspirational for all time, through the ages.

Lots of music from banda to native american; from Chavela Flores, Gloria Trevi to Don Cheto. This documentary artistically portraits the identity of modern mexicans, how they think about happiness, manipulated by today's media to the emerging multicultural "rainbow" traditions that are here to stay.

I am an American. I do not have one friend that is Mexican, but none of these things matter. This is the best movie I have ever seen. It goes beyond Mexican culture for me (which is strong and beautiful) but can relate to any human being. About the intensity and passion of our world and ourselves. Amazing, brilliant, thank you.
