Sometimes comically melodramatic, and pretty much always on par with a forgettable TV movie. It takes significant liberties and is filled with inaccurate information. Furthermore Kelso stretches out his thespian range and finds out he can’t touch his toes. He does look somewhat like but that, like this biopic, is superficial.

Not sure why so many people hate it. Maybe someone can tell me but I quite liked it Having read Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs I think it does okay. Definitely different but done well.

Regardless of whether or not you liked the portrayal of Steve Jobs, this was an ok movie. It felt a bit in complete, but I still think it was good. Kutcher did an outstanding job as did all the other major characters.
  • Really good but is could have been better.

This movie is well made. The acting is great, and casting Ashton Kutcher worked really well. I was disappointed that the movie did not flesh out more of Steve Jobs' story. After he was booted out of Apple, he formed a new company called NeXT. It was there that he was totally unbound, and he had to learn some hard lessons about how to run a business, and make design and engineering trade-offs in order to get a product released. There was barely any mention of NeXT. This would have been a better movie if it could have been made longer. That would give it the ability to show Steve at NeXT, and maybe at Pixar. When Steve came back to Apple in 1997, he had the experience at NeXT and Pixar that made him a better CEO. This movie totally avoids his time at those two companies, and we are meant to believe that all of a sudden, he's able to take over a big company and succeed.
  • Probably my favorite movie

This movie is the perfect example of why you should avoid the Tomatometer.
