Ok, so you know when you’re 5 years old there’s always one movie you watch every day the year before you start school and it basically summarized your early childhood and becomes an important part in your life? For me, it’s frozen. Frozen came out when I was five. I love it so much and will still watch it to this day. The songs are amazing, the message is so beautiful, they animation is incredible, and the characters are lovable. Olaf is hilarious. The trolls fixer upper song will make me burst out laughing. I’ve always been more of an Elsa person. When I was little it was because of the ice magic and fancy dress but now it’s because I understand her wanting to protect others and her sister. I also love Anna so much I love her optimism and determination. The scene where kristoff and Anna are in the sled is so funny. Then there’s Hans. Okay, I could go on about hans FOREVER. I just watched this movie again today and I knew that Hans was the villain but I couldn’t see it!!!!!!!!!! I literally was trying to find it because you can see it pretty much right away in other movies (Aladdin, tangled, etc) but I literally couldn’t believe that Hans was a villain and I’ve seen this movie hundreds of times!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway completely recommend I love love love this movie it has a good message great animation and just watch it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was young, like 10 yrs ago, frozen came out. Ever since then, I’ve seen Frozen approx 27 1/10 times. I stopped watching it ever since middle school. My absolute favorite character in this movie is Olaf who is SOOO cute and adorable! The other characters are good, but Hans ruins the whole movie. Like what is the point of his character anyways?

You know? Once upon a time--NO PUN INTENDED! Disney films, even those based on classic stories, had unforgettable pizzazz. Not to mention swell writing and original music that aged so dang well. From SNOW WHITE to THE JUNGLE BOOK, and from MARY POPPINS to OLIVER & COMPANY. And yes! everything we got from the Disney Renaissance; from BEAUTY AND THE BEAST all the way to THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME. BEST. DAYS. EVEEERRRRRRRRRRR! With FROZEN, I have to respectfully disagree with all the hype surrounding it. This is only a shadow of the Disney Renaissance. There are things that make and break it. What breaks the ice (and not in a good way) known as FROZEN is that it is next to disloyal to the original Hans Christian Andersen tale of "The Snow Queen." Where once stood an ultimate embodiment of temptation and selfishness, now stands a struggling young queen trying and failing to avoid that temptation. Instead, the temptation comes in the persons of Prince Hans of the Southern Isles and the greedy Duke of Weasel Town--Sorry, Weselton. Another thing that breaks it is the lack of well-written characters into which the writers and animators put their whole heart and soul. Don't get me wrong, now. I like Kristoff and all, but he could have used something more to explain his chemistry with Sven than what we ultimately got in the film. And although I might regret saying this, Olaf, as well-meaning as he was, annoyed me. As a matter of fact, he seemed very last-minute. He's no Genie. Nor is he any of the gargoyles. And last but not least, there is Anna, sister of the snow queen now named Elsa. I honestly don't know what to say about her....Except perhaps that Anna reflects the faces and voices of poorly depicted people in today's sticoms. Amazingly, though, the things that break FROZEN stand right next to those that MAKE the film. Note: I said the film was "next to disloyal" to the original tale. I didn't say it was disloyal entirely. For one thing, Anna carries the role of Gerda (the girl in the original tale), and like her, Anna does not give up trying to reach her best friend, even at the expense of her own life. Let's be honest, people! IT IS ANNA'S VICTORY! Not Elsa's! Elsa carries the role of the original Snow Queen as well as Gerda's friend, Kai. Like Kai, Elsa sees no more than bad. In fact, Elsa's "plight" proves that there's nothing in nature that freezes your heart like years of being alone. As for the music and songs, well, I will not say yea, and I will not say nay either. I will say that was a maker and a breaker too. Long story short, the Disney Renaissance was not a birthplace for "good bad-guy" stories. I've got no time for them. Does that take away the film's watchability? Not completely. Could FROZEN have been and done better? ABSOLUTELY!

I hate the music, I hate the characters, I just hate everything about this film. This film shouldn’t have won the Oscar for Best Animated Film because one film that I like that really deserves it is The Wind Rises.
