Description

This explosive, action-packed thrill-ride stars Sylvester Stallone and all The Expendables plus some exciting new recruits. Barney (Stallone) and The Expendables come face-to-face with Stonebanks - one of the original team members who became a ruthless arms dealer that Barney was forced to kill…or so he thought. When Stonebanks returns to destroy The Expendables, the latest mission becomes a clash of old-school style versus high-tech expertise in The Expendables' most personal battle yet.”

I just watched this movie tonight again for the second time. It’s better than the first 2 as far as I’m concerned. It has action. LOTS of action. Comedy!!! I really laughed has some good jokes. Mel Gibson is a great bad guy !!!!! Bought the unrated version for $5 on iTunes. Worth the buy !!!!

All the Expendables flicks have heart, but this one has the most. The new characters, especially (to me) Snipes and Rousey, are instantly likeable. Banderas is hysterically funny, Ford is well, he's Harrison Ford. Great as usual. And the rest do their usual great job. The over-the-top action scenes are rousingly good and the ending will pull on your heart strings. Highly recommended.

Great movie. Loved it from start to finish and Banderas nailed it. Another classic from Sly. Keeping fingers crossed for a fourth one.
  • Too many stars to make a good movie

I was looking forward to this one but greatly disappointed. They tried to replace the old team with new younger stars, which goes against the entire idea of making an 80s action movie with 80s action stars performing the roles they are best known for. When the newbees failed they brought in most of the original characters to rescue them and there were just too many people to have a fluid, consistent movie. They took out all of the fun of the first two and replaced it with a battle in a complex that just dragged on and on. In the first two they got to invent creative solutions and got help from unexpected places when all seemed lost. That is missing from this one and it reverts to just fighting over and over again with almost no change of scenery. There were a few good additions, especially Antonio but overall this one falls short.

The first one was ok, particularly touching on some of the dark corners with Rourke’s character (which never returns in the sequels) but this third one is just too much. Lots of violence but at the same time no violence (Just over the top enemy fodder that run directly at our heroes). You know this is a B movie when the army of whateverstan sends in its elite dirtbike troops. The good: Harrison and Gibson. Harrison’s acting seems to be slipping (expect something akin to ender’s game) but he is still harrison. Gibson’s character is probably the only one that seems original. The bad: Pretty much everything else. Nameless new “fresh blood” team members, a vague notion of a story with more plot holes than…. well… air?

When I saw this film at the movies, it felt like something was missing. Now that I’ve seen the unrated version, my original feeling makes sense. I’m sure some of this movie was chopped down because of time restraints. I’m glad the UNRATED version is what it is. Its funny, raw and filled with performance nuances that fulfill what “The Expendables 3” should have been and is. Also, thanks for using my name in the film. I have one complaint. I spell my name CEASER.

I liked 1, loved 2, and hated 3. There were way too many cameos by new people, the story line was horrible, and the action scenes were not all that great. They focused too much on trying to bring new faces and having too many celebrities. And sorry, Rousey may be a great fighter in the ring, but her fighting looked awful on screen. Definitely not movie star material.

The worst of expendables. Most of movie is not abt expendable team. The unedited is very edited. Just watch first two. It's nothing like first two. No good fight scenes. I turned it off.
