Description

Filmed in 1986, this was Queen’s first ever Wembley Stadium performance. Performed, in front of a total audience of over 400, 000 - 150, 000 of which in just 2 nights – it broke all previous attendance records. In their inimitable way it also proved to be the most spectacular show of their time, incorporating the largest lighting rig ever assembled for a live show and featuring the biggest stage. Hits include, “A Kind of Magic”, “I Want To Break Free” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

Look don’t complain about the Quality. It’s actually pretty good for the time. And I saw someone say that there were no hits and that you should watch Hungarian Rhapsody. Though I agree that you should watch Hungarian Rhapsody instead, you’re an idiot if you say there aren’t any hits. All this concert is is a greatest hits performance. And if you recommend Hungarian Rhapsody, because it has hits that Wembley doesn’t. Keep in mind Wembley has all the songs from Hungarian Rhapsody (except the folk song) and more. Hungarian Rhapsody has multiple songs cut out. Hungarian Rhapsody has a better performance and is HD, but this concert is still great. The funny thing is this isn’t even close to being the best concert of the tour. Just proves how great of a live band Queen was.

Sadly I purchased this video and was highly disappointed. First, the video quality is terrible. Not in letterbox format. Then there’s the set list. If your looking for hits you won’t find them. Thing of an hour and a half of music like Radio Ga Ga. Do yourself a favor, buy “Hungarian Rhapsody”. A beautiful film. And the hits!

With Freddie at the helm, there has never been, and never will be another band like Queen. Unique, thunderous, melodic and stylish. They were the ultimate package and a gift to the masses. RIP Freddy, but Long Live Queen.

I grew up with the music and never thought much about the band members. After watching the movie and how they became and conquered the industry, I have a new found love for not only the band and the music but Freddie himself. I found myself reading more into his life and death and what a wonderful hypnotic man he was. Gay or not he was spellbinding and truly one of a kind. I wish I had seen them live. As for this movie, A++++. I could watch it over and over. It just takes you in. Well done!

I rented this AWESOME concert as Queen ruled the day at Wembley Arena. I will be making this a permanent addition to my favorite videos. Frontman Freddie Mercury is such a singer/showman and in addition to the music played by Brian Mays, Roger Taylor and John Deacon it doesn’t get much better to enjoy a solid performance of GREAT music. I’m so happy that we can look back and enjoy/relive the music and talent of Queen. Rest In Peace Freddie, you left us too early.

The best band ever on one of the worlds biggest stages! All the hits, no hit was left out! As a Queen lover I would have included a few more hits! But this is a concert for everyone who likes and loved Queen! No disappointments here just pure music and fun! Long live the Queen!!!

Needless to say Queen is one of the best if not the best bands ever and was as good as anybody at rocking a crowd. This occasion at Wembley is no different. Everyone is at their best here, Freddy’s mastery of the crowd is breathtaking, but unfortunately the film is ruined by the herky-jerky editing. No shot is allowed to linger. The cuts are constant and relentless. This could have been an epic film and I suppose it still could be if it were to be re-visited and re-edited.
