Description

Starring Eddie Redmayne (“Les Misérables”) and Felicity Jones (“The Amazing Spider-Man 2”), this is the extraordinary story of one of the world’s greatest living minds, the renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, who falls deeply in love with fellow Cambridge student Jane Wilde. Once a healthy, active young man, Hawking received an earth-shattering diagnosis at 21 years of age. With Jane fighting tirelessly by his side, Stephen embarks on his most ambitious scientific work, studying the very thing he now has precious little of – time. Together, they defy impossible odds, breaking new ground in medicine and science, and achieving more than they could ever have dreamed. The film is based on the memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen, by Jane Hawking, and is directed by Academy Award winner James Marsh (“Man on Wire”).

My fiancée had been begging me to watch this and her and I finally got the opportunity. I’m a grown man. I cried for about three quarters of the movie and I don’t even know why. My heart feels so full and empty and Hawking was an amazing man. If you’re on the fence about watching or just casually looking for a movie, you found it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

You can always trust Apple to re-release the recently deceased back catalogue to cash in. They label a moralless cash-grab 'respectful tribute'. Vile.

“The Theory of Everything” is a truly beautiful and moving film. Eddie Redmayne shines in his portrayal of Stephen Hawking and embodies him in every way. He is spot on with the way he speaks and movements, and his eyes convey so much emotion even in scenes where he had few or no lines. Full of pain, sorrow, love and laughs, this story is a must see. There were times my heart broke for him, times I felt his pain and times I shared in his triumphs. It is an excellent movie you must experience for yourself. Eddie absolutely deserved his Oscar win!!

Quite interesting, however, I was hoping for a stronger ending. Wonderful story nonetheless.

This movie is great, and awesome. I like this movie a lot. I love all of the characters in this movie. I love the story of Stefan Hawking and its sad he has this disease where he is in a wheel chair. But its cool how he can still be smart, and a genius and one of the smartest people in the world. It is one of my favorite movies.
