Description

Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone), and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy)—all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt), their wish to begin a family, and their interaction with the witch (Meryl Streep) who has put a curse on them. Rob Marshall, the talented filmmaker behind the Academy Award®-winning musical “Chicago” and Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” helms the film, which is based on the Tony®-winning original musical by James Lapine, who also penned the screenplay, and legendary composer Stephen Sondheim, who provides the music and lyrics.

This movie has the best actors it has adventure ,romance ,mystery and also kind of sweet yes i will admit that some of the songs aren’t the best but I love the songs last midnight, agony, your fault. However I did flinch when the stepmother started hacking away at her daughters foot that was a little bit weird .Otherwise great movie. MAYBE a must see 😻👁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I was not expecting Into the Woods to be a good musical but Disney managed to make Into the Woods a visualy stunning fairy tale that makes sense. The cast was great, the muscial numbers were impressive and beautiful and the film has a sour feel to other fairy tales besides Disney making it good what really makes this movie stand out is the cinematopgraphy feels like a real musical.

It is such a good movie! Disney really couldn’t have casted it any better, and the cast couldn’t have acted any better💖

My 4 star rating really only applies to the first half of this movie. I'd give the second half 2 stars. This movie is really well cast and the first half is funny and cleverly interweaves different fairy tale stories. However the second half strays from the typical stories you know and is pretty depressing and I'd say innapropriate for children. And it's not really Disney's fault because they didn't write the story/plot (this film is adapted from the original Broadway musical), but If you're going to show it to your kids, cut it off in the middle, when the characters get their happy endings, right before the "earthquake".
  • Very good creativity
