This is a much needed insight into the real world vs. a mental vision for me. The cost of war and the destruction of families that are the nexus of human breaking. This is a hard movie to watch; but I am thankful to have seen the (even if an anomaly); story narrated by the actual people who are at the center of this (much more important message); documentary. All of the world is just struggling and fighting the similar seemingly endless garbage. This is a great display of good and the cost of logic over nonsense. Bless the entire crew involved with this story.

Although familiar with the details of Mosab’s story long before seeing this film, and hence, almost dismissed the need to see it…I am SO GLAD I saw it. Besides being very well produced, it exposed the emotional mindset of both Mosab and his handler, Gonen, and even a little of Mosab’s own father, the founder of HAMAS. One of the aspects that really shocked me was the humanity of people who I too easily group together as the “Nazis” of our own times. I learned that even these “monsters” have a humanity that I need to consider, especially as resident of Israel who encounters Palestinians on a daily basis. It reminded me that not everything is “black and white” and to go on loving my neighbor as I love myself, even if he/she is my enemy, because underneath the belligerent veneer of that enemy may lay a very redeemable side…a Mosab.

A friend recommended this film. I was captivated by this incredible story that gives first hand accounts from inside Hamas and Israeli intelligence. A strong human touch of a very personal sacrifice by a man who knew he would lose everything in order to do what is right. You begin to realize the dark lies that so many Palestinians are brought up with. This story brings hope in midst of this darkness. Great balanced view of Israeli intelligence as well. The central characters are real men of honor.
