Description

Hitomi Kanzaki is a high school track star with an affinity for tarot readings and cute boys. But when a brash young man appears from a beam of light at her high school, Hitomi is spirited away to a myserious new world called Gaea. There, she encounters a world embroiled in war. Soldiers in huge armored mechas, or “Guymelefs” wreak havoc around her as Van, a newly ordained king, attempts to protect his home city from the evil empire of Zaibach in his magnificent Guymelef, Escaflowne. On Gaea, Hitomi discovers a hidden ability that makes her an asset for Van and a target for Zaibach. To save the world of Gaea and return to her own, Hitomi must unravel the mystery of her powers, Van’s past, and the powerful Escaflowne.

    The Artistic esthetic of this Anime are on par with amazing Animations such as Akira. Definitely one of the gems in anime history. This is the dub version which is a bummer but its still better than not having it at all. Definitely some nostalgic factors here with the classic setting and one of the best Mecha Fantasy stories ever done. A must watch
