  • I believe this is my last season.

Naked and Afraid is wearing thin after seven seasons. What I dislike most is the overdramatization and editing. The narrator has to make sure he describes every danger in exaggerated detail. Each episode there's a fake animal close encounter, drama and cuss beeps where there weren't any cuss words. Then there's the regular use of fake air noises and the overdubbing of the same shiver sounds. It's become a caricature of survival, but it always was from the beginning. I can't invest in it anymore. It's overhyped nonsense. If the producers and editors would let the video footage stand for itself and not add in overdubs, I might not be so critical. I just want to see two people surviving for 21 days. Edit the video and let it speak for itself. Stop adding in unnecessary sound effects and fake drama.
