Supergirl, Season 3

An excellent and empowering show.

Overall, love this show — it's nice to (mostly) have hopeful endings at the end of the day. Melissa Benoist does a fantastic job portraying the Girl of Steel, and the show can be campy and fun or dark and serious, depending on the episode. Themes of charity, compassion, peace, sacrifice, tolerance, friendship, and hope for humanity to rise above permeate the show. The best episodes, so far, are those like Season 3's "Faithful," which combine a strong, believable, and compelling emotional story along with forces (like cult religous beliefs) that aren't simple to fix with superpowers and which, despite all of her strength, SuperGirl cannot necessarily "beat." These types of stories enable the characters to mine real depth, while offering a nuanced view of how, sometimes, the very things that come to define us as humans can tear us apart. The tension between SuperGirl, who is incorruptible (although it would be interesting to see her stumble into shades of gray, as long as she can find her way back to her own truth), and the human world she loves, full of shadows and light, offer an opportunity to explore what is "good" and whether her battle can (or should) even be won. I hope the show will give us more like Season 3's "Faithful," and the episodes that came after! But either way, if you love Super Girl as a character or superheroes, there is much to love in this series.

I’m gonna miss Mon-El so much in season 4 and Winn. NOTHING led up to Mon-El and Winn leaving during the season. What was the need to create a love triangle with Mon-El, Kara and Imra if you were just gonna have Mon-El leave at the end. KARAMEL DESERVES TO BE ENDGAME!!!! And how could you make us all excited for superhero Mon-El, give him an epic costume just for him to leave us in the season finale. Makes NO SENSE and Mon-El deserves WAY BETTER that what you gave him. Kara and Mon-El deserve to be happy and in love with each other. I’m disappointed with the finale!

Watching the beginning of this season soon felt like chore, I was losing motivation to watch this season. The plot was ok, I was very disappointed that Mon El returned, BRING MAGGIE BACK!, and now Supergirl is depressed all the time seeing that Mon El is married now. I stopped watching this season after the mid season finale, maybe I’ll watch the rest of the season never, I can’t believe how much this show has truly disappointed me. Such a shame.

The acting is fair, and the scripts are decent. Except that it is very heavy handed with liberal bias, and nonsense. I don’t feel like watching anymore. Oh and the whole "We're a government agency that just won't use guns anymore on the say so of one man. That's not how it works. Nice hop on the anti gun bandwagon, next week will be some other liberal talking point that makes zero sense. I hope this show gets cancelled, and we can get some actual entertainment without the underlying bull. Ruined this show. Garbage.

Now the gun control. sigh. I'm done. Was such a good show. Now it's just lazy writing by inserting the organized outrage of the week.

Its getting old to see our favorite superheros getting into politics. The reason I watch TV is to relax from all the BS news stories and social justice being pushed down our throats. Get back to entertainment and leave the politics alone.

It’s a great show for dc fans. If you can choke down all of the liberal propaganda. Don’t recommend for kids or young teenagers. Don’t want to corrupt our youth.

Love season one. Even own it on iTunes. I started to see a lot of political BS but ignored it because I am a Superman/supergirl fan. The political BS got to the point in season 2 that I stopped buying it and just watched the DVR recordings. After this weeks episode, this show has become a Netflix only watch. Too bad. Love supergirl but can’t deal with the political BS and racial, immigrant BS. Take care and good luck
