Favorite episode is ultimately "A Matter of Principals" because I simply brought this latest indoctrination overlooking Discord’s abstract yet humorous shenanigans claiming he erroneously wasn’t invited to Friendship School with additives, Friends and Family and Baccalaureate. How Starlight and Spike seemingly feel perplexed with Discord’s zaniest royal flushes remains a mystery to myself. In splicing dodecahedron frameworks piece by piece, I love when Discord elucidates optional possibilities like gravity, (his most treasured specialty) pro-immigrants biased from revealing an ambidextrous marmoset, and item three could probably enlist globetrotter ponies that teach schools handing out crystalline spreadsheets of homework and being able to checkpoint their progress. Meanwhile, he redecorated the schools' interior with objects that weren’t precise, typewriting "Come in, come in. You’ll let the Twitter-mites out." then devoured a slice of bread afterwards. As much as Discord loved playing Ogres and Oubliettes, after bringing a wheelhouse of Limburger cheese for the teachers' lounge, bringing uneven substitute teachers, transforming himself into a leaf, fabricating magic shows whilst making fruit calls and letting the students get tortured running from a Bug-Bear monstrosity even though they were already left with little tidbits of stamina leftover, Starlight was serious about her duties as improvised head-mare/guidance counselor. In fact, Starlight wasn’t buying everything he orchestrated and went all Dragon Ball Z banishing only Discord’s bodily form from the school grounds. Observatory of viewpoints checking with the students' scavenger hunt searching for the sorcerers artifacts or in pony standards using the word Spell, their heist was short-lived however when Starlight realized that Discord was giving them a spook fest with moving statues, triggering a mudslide and apparitions of 3D paintings crawling underneath their skin similar to Castle-Mania. It escalated with no hesitation. Thankfully, Starlight was there to intervene and proclaim that it was all Discord’s doing, despite everything being sundered and scatterbrained. And his only prize was detention. Eventually, Starlight reformed Discord and reconciled that she was remiss of being head-mare, wistfully saying he’d been feeling left out and remembered to always stay positive of being a good friend. With renewed morality, Starlight offered a promotion making him vise head-mare instead. He brainstormed things for his bucket list; finding his own office, expense account, and parking space. The next time Discord wants something when in doubt, ask for it instead. But he remarked on missing so many delightful misadventures, not that she minded. Before that could happen, the Mane 6 returned looking all bedraggled from spelunking in a cavern filled with as Pinkie puts it, eyeless wormlike creatures chasing them, Twilight protested sending them on a friendship conquest, and a fake mission at that. Hilarity kickstarts with them saying, Rarity: A glamour spell on our cutie marks? Rainbow Dash: A fake summons from the map? With every pony recapping their twists and turns, Spike tells Discord that he isn’t head-mare anymore, and with vacant despair, he left himself ordering business cards. Definitely would watch again despite the critics lower ratings.
