Marvel's M.O.D.O.K., Season 1

Had superhero-level high hopes for Modok. This show is a disaster. The writing and comedy is surprisingly bad, and it does not improve. Consistently dry, consistently boring. It’s just too on the nose, too direct, the jokes and puns are as force-fed as the story. Modok the villain/main character is made to be a stumbling fool for comedic effect, and it falls flat. Cringeworthy flat. It was released for purchase on digital download very quickly, and I should have suspected that it might mean that this show is pretty bad. I would request a refund but I’m too shocked that this writing was green lit by Marvel Studios.

How can so many talented people create something so rote and banal? Robot Chicken sense of humor and style –an absolutely dated approach in 2021– filled with animal slaughter, weak jokes, and poorly written characters.

Needed to gouge my eyes out after 20 mins. Do better Marvel

It has some great funny parts in it. But yes I did expect more from Marvel. They’ve set the bar high with things like all the movies they’ve done and this feels like they didn’t quite try hard enough

They brought in a great show from another network just so we can enjoy it!! This is a fun show of a backstory for MODOK. It’s not from the comic books by the way this is just made up! Seriously Apple, keep bringing us great shows from other networks! Am still waiting for you guys to bring great follow ups like, the boys season 2, and the chilling adventures of Sabrina part 3 and 4 Keep bringing em and I’ll keep the money flowing

The animation is horrid and hard to watch and the show tries to hard to be funny but isn’t in the least bit. Expected more from a Marvel show
