The Lana Luna segment has been edited out of episode 6, season 1! I just wasted $2!

Love the toon, but wow, $30 for a single season of an ancient TV show?

So, being a kid of the 80’s I watched this show in syndication in the afternoons growing up, along with “Season 2” which was brand new at the time. I bought this on iTunes with high hopes of sharing with my kids what folks in the 60’s thought their lives would be like. The show is still great, but has not stood the test of time. It is a bit more of a time capsule of when it was made than timeless. It gets three stars, not for entertainment value, but for presentation. This version appears as if somebody found a set of the old syndication video tapes from ’85, dusted them off, made digital copies and put them on iTunes. It is readily apparent that nobody bothered to work on cleaning up the video or audio for iTunes. It even has the lame commercial bumpers from the syndicated run in the 80’s. I mean, come on, take the 5 minutes to clip those out at least!!! In short, the show is still fun, and it is a bit amazing how much of what they thought would happen has. But buyer beware of the quality of the actual video, as it is very “un-retouched” from the 80’s TV syndication, which may or may not be worth this price to you.

Long before the creators of "The Simpsons" gave us a futuristic animated world with "Futurama", the creators of the Simpsons' prime-time predecessor "The Flintstones" gave us another animated vision of the future with "The Jetsons". Although it only ran one season in its original prime-time context (mainly because it was up against Walt Disney's "Wonderful World of Color"), "The Jetsons" emerged as a perennial children's classic, spawning more episodes in the 1980's and a theatrically-released animated movie in 1990. While arguably aimed more at children compared to the early seasons of "The Flintstones", "The Jetsons" is still interesting to look at and worth checking out.

There are no Jane stop this crazy thing so the video is reduced to a waste of time.
