Loved this show for years. Don't think they will ever do more :(

Funniest look at family interaction ever. Mix in a few pot shots at organized religion, and you've got a can't miss.

Biz first - in iTunes, episode 11, 'He's Not the Messiah, He's a DJ' is actually the pilot; you could watch that first if you're the kind of person that worries about those things (there's at least one character in this show that really loves people like you :-) Should probably also point out that its an Adult Swim comic as in, Adult themes. This isn't a SouthPark'y kind of thing where, with a wink and a nod, you can let your early teen have a bit of innocent fun involving poop jokes and stupid lurid boob humor -- those things are there too, in very small doses, but you'll be the one with the nightmares answering all the questions you're going to get asked. And, heaven forbid, your kids ever refer to show in conversation with any other people who don't appreciate certain flavors of humor,.. well, that's when you'll really wish you had realized the PG rating is for your protection, not theirs'. Kids actually, occasionally, think about things and, I'm very happy to say that this generation [more than mine] knows when things are just satirical as opposed to being hell bent on overthrowing the established institutions and corrupting minds. On the other hand, if you're having one of those 'adult' parties and have too many college degrees in the room when the last bottle of wine has been uncorked…its an awesome late night "I remember when I was 12 in Catholic school" kind of show! For some reason I get the same vibe as the show 'Duckman' but, they share nothing in common other than some thematic content and overall style (definitely not the animation). My only regret - just one season…hope they bring it back for the presidential campaign season, nothing but Lucy, Daughter of Satan comic gold shaping up this year!

I was a little apprehensive at first because most of the shows besides family guy and robot chicken are really random. However, when I watched the pilot of this show, I loved it. I was totally blown away by the fact that it wasn't stupid at all like most of the shows are, and that even days after watching it, I really wanted to see more episodes. It has an actual plot which is very unique and funny, and it has really great characters, especially DJ Jesus and the Special Fathers. All of the episodes are great, so it's best just to buy the whole season, especially since it's so short. Plus, the episodes run off the previous ones, so you might not know entirely what's going on if you haven't watched it from the beginning. I have no idea why this show is off the air. They should totally bring it back. Oh, you probably know this already, but episode 11 is the actual pilot (they added it last).

This was a Genius Sidebar recommendation based on Venture Bros. I bought the first episode because the premise sounded interesting and full of potential. However, it was a terrible disappointment in every way, and not worth the time or money spent watching it. The animation quality is terrible. The writing and humor are neither clever nor funny. The voice talent is mediocre, but when combined with the other bad elements, it becomes a further annoyance. I'm frankly shocked at all the good reviews, and I can only conclude they are the result of a guerrilla marketing campaign done on behalf of the creators. This show is so terrible that I did not even keep the one episode which I purchased; I deleted it. For those who may be thinking that my opinion holds no merit because I only watched one episode, I can tell you that you know a good show when you see the first episode, like with Venture Bros or Seinfeld. That first episode is enough for me to know that now matter how much it improves it will never get good enough to be watchable.

Let me start off by saying this show is hilarious and original. But, this show is definitely not one of adult swims best, in my opinion, however it is still a very humorous and provocative show, as any Adult Swim show will be. My favorite aspect of the show? The general feel of the show and the animations are coincidentally very similar to those in Veggie Tales. So anyways, if you haven't seen it, give it a watch and enjoy the most popular religious cartoon for kids yet, Veggie Tales: The Devil's Story (Lucy, DOD literally... for those of you maybe a little too slow for that one)
