Legend of the Seeker, Season 1

Having never read the books I whatched the pilot ( first 2 episodes) untainted by any preconceptions. In summary, it sucked. Okay, the scenery was nice and you really can't go wrong with setting something like this in NZ. But everything else? Acting, script, direction? Very ordinary. Granted, Bruce Spence channelling Gandolf was pretty funny. But I'm not sure if it was supposed to be funny. Bottom line, it comes across as a poorly made fan film. If that's what they we aiming for, well, they nailed it.

I miss the action and chemistry in this show 😩

This was one of those great shows that got cancelled before it's time. Not one episode is filler, or at least none of them fee like filler, there's always action, and it has so much re-watchablilty, I'm pretty sure that I've watched each episode at least a dozen times, even when it was on tv with re-runs it still wasn't boring. I remember when it was summer and I was on YouTube, watching one of the episode me because I enjoyed it that much, that I found a trailer that said season 2 stone of tears and clicked and was soo excited that it was going to keep going. But if I didn't know that there was going to be a season 2 and it was towards the end of summer, and I was a watcher of it, I guess that's why the 2nd season didn't get as many viewers because they didn't know, and when season 2 had ended, and I looked up what was expecting for season 3 and read that it was cancelled, there were sites decaited( think I misspelled it), to trying to keep it alive and I was hopeful but knew that it probably wasn't going to happen, and was sad, they ended it on a happy note, but still a bit of it on a cliffhanger, but not needed. But the series was great, the action and well I guess sets and cgi(then did it right were you can't notice it by much, only recently now that I can notice cgi better do I think it might be a bit dated) but every was just done right, you cared about the characters, and the dialogue was pretty good, only now that I rewatch it do I notice how maybe less than 1% of it could be a bit cheesy, but on the first few watches I didn't notice because I was watching it currently, and made sense, when I watched an episode or 2 it seemed a by cheesy, but that's because I haven't gotten completely thrown back into the story. The Score is probably one of the best, there is always some theme music that just enhances what the characters are saying. It's kinda almost like when I would watch dragonball z, and realized that it's soo rewatchable because of its score(watched both japanese, and English one, even English with Japanese normal theme), only here the story is more interesting in so aspects because we never completely know all of the limitations of the world, we learn as the main character learns, even the 2nd season. Just wish that maybe it got a 3rd season to completely complete that little cliffhanger.

Predictable and poorly scripted. If iTunes offered this for $9.99 for the season, then that would be okay. Not anywhere near the caliber of a top television show.

Bring back the seeker and be true to the books that's why they were turned into a tv show in the first place.

I remember having the tv on when the first episode of this show came on. I was instantly mesmerized! I recommend this show to anyone seeking thrills and adventure!
