Description

The Real L Word follows a group of real-life, high-profile, left coast lesbians as they go about their daily lives, at work and play. The first gay-themed reality series on premium cable, it is sure to challenge stereotypes and show viewers that these lesbian women can be every bit as glamorous, fashionable, fabulous and even as cutthroat as those hetero housewives.

I've really been enjoying this show. It may not be the best representation, but hey, reality shows are more bold than most peoples lives anyhow! As a fresh face to the world of lesbians it's really comforting to see a show like this. It gives me hope for my future. For where I can be ten years from now. I think of this as a resource and a little bit of sanity that can be provided for those who are closeted, those who are new, and for those going through the same things people on the show are. Here's to women!! :)

As a lover of QaF and the L Word, the non scripted show is pretty cool. I so catch myself saying, "wow, that like so happened with "x" last week." its pretty funny how some of this seems to come from my life and my friends. It's really crazy. However, it is a cheeky just like the other "Real" shows of "*#^$!@*&". All in all I can't wait to see the next season.

I am a huge fan of The L Word, so watching this show just reminds me of how much I miss the series. It's not any worse than other reality TV shows and yes, there are many stupid shows out there. On this show, you really start to care about the people and just seeing the dilemmas they face in their life. I am a straight woman who agrees for everyone's rights to love who they want to love, so it's not odd to watch. You are watching real issues go on like preparing a lesbian wedding, whether or not to quit the party scene and grow up, living a chaotic life with children involved, not having any family support of the lifestyle, and so on and so forth. I'd much rather watch this show than some snooty celebrity (or lack thereof) who just complain about the smallest issues that would make a commoner vomit (i.e. like about not finding the right dress for a party.) I really do enjoy this show and I hope that they continue some more seasons. If you appreciate The L Word, you will appreciate The Real L Word.
