Description

The explosive final season of the hit action series begins as Nikita has just revealed that she was an internal investigator for Center, the supreme organization in control of Section One. This disclosure had dire consequences. Operations, Section's ruthless leader, was forced to remain in his post rather than receive his desired promotion to Oversight; Walter, the crabby weapons expert, was transferred to a training facility; and enigmatic agent Michael (a recurring guest star) was sent on a suicide mission — but, because of her love for him, Nikita secretly spared his life and set him free. Now, Kate Quinn (new series star Cindy Dolenc) steps in as Section One's ambitious head of communications, while the head of Center, Mr. Jones (recurring guest star Carlo Rota), also known as Mick Schtoppel, may once again prove he isn't who he claims to be. Nikita knows that her ultimate destiny is to take over Section One and restore it to its founding principles. Is it a fate she can handle?

  • Provocative look at the moral and personal cost of counterterrorism

With amazing foresight, LFN looked ahead from the turn of the new millennium, toward a near-future in which Western agents commit moral evils at great personal cost in order to prevent even greater evil committed by supposed terrorists. Featuring a conflicted romantic duo (portrayed by Peta Wilson and Roy Dupuis) as its center, the series asks troubling questions and denies the audience easy answers: Who are the real terrorists? Might political violence be justified? How are innocent people and their political decisions impacted by official secrecy and deception? What is the greater good? The entire cast is talented, the musical score is sensational, the writing is intelligent, and the plot lines remain as relevant and attention-grabbing as ever.

one of the best spy/action/intelligent tv series of this type...VERY surprised it is not in re-runs in the US...Peta Wilson is gorgeous and strong...filmed in Canada w/ international cast...one of those series that actually ends itself (not cancelled)...well done

Please get the rest of the seasons. My wife is a big fan of the current Nikita and I would like to get her this original but whats the point in getting only the final season?

The real Nikita now lives on in iTunes. Thank the stars above that the iTunes overlords have finally found this gem. Though, not to be naggy or anything, but how quickly can you knock out the first four seasons? Please, oh please. For those four or five souls uninitiated in the ways of Section One, just the final season will make no sense. To you newbies, buy every single season when they become available and catch up on the best intrigue and spy show ever done. It was ahead of its time in first release. And its still as good a ride as any out there today. A word of advice. Watch the seasons in order. Enjoy.
