Mankind The Story of All of Us

The show is informative and rightly focuses on the most major transformative events in mankind. It's very melodramatic in its narration and visual imagery. Lots of relentless Matrix-style slow motion that I found to be annoying. But I watched it anyway. It's still good.

I expect very little from the "history" channel but this is garbage even by their standards. They're trying to make many shows into one and they clobber the facts and elide the truth left and right. This isn't about information, it's about patting ourselves on the back for how incredible we are. Read the positive reviews and draw your own conclusion about this show's target demographic.

Could people include more examples when saying how this show got it right or wrong instead of just praising or banging it?

I tried to watch the first episode and about halfway thru audio was lost. This was very disappointing.

This series was brilliantly written and accurately portrayed according to current knowledge.

Very good documentary, but… I can't believe the documentary is not analyzing the life of Alexander the Great, the legend of the legends. Was Sparta who had to decide to join Athens to fight Athens giving to Persia time advantage. Sparta was too depending to their religious people and was thanks to Leonidas when they joined Athens in rescue to Greece.

I recently finished watching the series and enjoyed it but it felt rushed in the last 50 years segment. They could've made at least 2 more episodes. They didn't even talk about our technological rise with planes, or walking on the moon or peering to the birth of our universe. I don't know about you but after WWII we made more progress than any time in our history combined. Shoot didn't even talk about the computer or the digital age. Did enjoy the rover landing on mars though.

Don't be detoured by these stupid negative comments, this show is awesome. Yes, they did leave a few things, but that's no reason to give two or three stars. They only focus on fights and things like that because they want to keep it interesting and cool. I would ignore their bad comments because this is a very informing show, I learned a lot from it!

I thought it was one of the best commentaries, A really must-see TV.

I didn't get a chance to catch minute one of this series when it first aired and after reading some of the negative reviews .I said ah I won't watch it cause I had really high hopes ,but i was out from work with the flu and was looking for some form of entertainment so i pulled the trigger on the purchase all I can say is WOW simply amazing and Kudos To you history for yet another Doc series I will never pay attention to another review ever all I can think now is what else I missed out on from reviews from people that were less then favorable and steered me away from something that I would have normally watch . So just remember to always check something out if it tickles ur fancy cause not everyone likes the same stuff that why they make hundreds of flavors of ice cream .peace and love peace and love !
