Honestly tired of how Hollywood constantly has to turn everything gay/bi/trans/whatever! You ruined an amazing story simply because of a push of moral biases. I would rather prefer not watching two men rub their stomachs against each other. Seriously, not even 10% of the world is homosexual yet 99% of movie/tv content has to be oriented to include it. Please tell me what value was added to the story? Absolutely none. I have gay friends, I don’t bash or hate gay people, I’m just asking the question of why did this story have to go this direction? I would rather have zero sexual content in a series that has such and interesting back drop and story such as this, than something I find repulsive. I guess I’m more upset of the forced attempt to include homosexuality in a failed attempt to justify a marginal fraction of the populations sexual orientation. You killed the show, congrats!

It's got Pirates, a great story, great characters that you'll care about, great sets, and beautiful women with full bush. What more can you ask for?

I am hooked! This is an awesome show, I've never been moved to review a show, but this...this is really good. The sets are so well done, the characters are so well done, and the banter/dialogue is perfectly gripping. My wife says it's too violent, there too much dong, but the show is incredible and I look forward to binge watching season II.

This show starts out well enough, but the action and storyline quickly digresses into an intricate soap opera centered about a brothel and interpersonal feelings. When that tack finally runs its course, season 2 digresses even further to endless flashbacks, wherein it finally jumps the shark and we learn that Flint is gay. If I could permanently delete this from my iTunes account I certainly would.

I stopped watching this show when it became painfully obvious that the writers and producers have no clue as to the early 18th century Americas. No one used the “dollar” in 1715; it hadn’t been invented yet. The specie used throughout the Americas was the Spanish ducat or for the British - the pound. And the phrase “Spanish dollar” makes no sense; the word “ducat” was well understood. Everyone in this show seems to speak English which never happened. Spanish was the lingua franca along with a lot of French. Furthermore, no woman in her right mind would ever punch a pirate in his jaw - here we see 21st century values veneered onto a 18th century context - which is absurd. The Royal Navy would never land one boat from one ship at Nassau. They always arrived in overwhelming force at any port not directly under their control. Furthermore, the pirates would have scattered at the first sign of the Royal Navy. No pirate would ever take on the Royal Navy; you did and you were exterminated; no ifs, ands or buts. In short, a silly story punctuated by lurid sex scenes that have no relevance to the story.

Dialogue smooth as silk, gorgeous sets and cinematography, a gripping plot, and action so real you can taste the blood. Highly underrated show right now.

I think the plot and acting is great, but overall the show was quite boring. The lesbian scenes were kinda hot though

Such a great show, refreshing to watch a pirate series instead of the boring old zombie and vampire shows. A++
